2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MannyGoldberg (38) - Greater London, - JAN 31, 2013Bit of a break from the norm with this one. Quite a lot of acidic bite compared to other NS pale ales. Bit more restrained on the nose compared to others. Overall enjoyed it more than my rating might suggest.

Cask (handpump) at the King William IV, Leyton on 6 April 2012. Pale gold. Quite tart and acidic (not in a bad way), but not as aromatic as I was expecting. Lots of grapefruit and strong bitterness on the palate. A bit too astringent. Not one of Brodies’ very best.

Cask at King William IV, London. Pours clear gold with a bubbly, white foam head. Great nose of fresh citrus and light grass. Light sweet flavor with some lightly toasted grass, citrus rind and faint wood. Light in body with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish with grassy bitterness, faint pine and touches of pine. A nice sessioner.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scopey (3241) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2012
Cask at Brodies. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, white grape and passion fruit. The taste is lemon, red grapefruit, orange pith, white grape, pine and resin, with a bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent, but not amazing.

6th April 2012 At the Brewpub. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light semi dry palate. The Nelson Sauvin hops are a little skunky here but by Sunday the mildly tart grapeyness was more dominant. A little orange citrus underneath. Decent.
