Bottled. Slightly hazy deep orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is caramel, citrus, alcohol sweetness along with mild yeasty notes. Flavour is very similar with some earthyness as well.

[500ml bottle, The Bottle Shop, Canterbury] Clear deep golden pour, thick white head. Simcoe aroma from the off - bit catty, piney on the nose. Flavours are slight pine, orange fruit. Creamy on the mouthfeel, but there is that hit of carbonation at the same time. Finishes long and semi-sweet [28032012]

Clear medium to dark orange colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, orange - citrus. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long duration, peel bitter. Bottle from MicroBar, Manchester. Pours a dark golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma of juicy pineapple and pine hops with caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours, pineapple and passion fruit notes, with a nice bitter character. Moderate carbonation. Nice.

Bottle at Leighton’s pre-xmas celebration. It pours amber, with a thick white head. The nose is pine, cheese, sweaty sock and citrus pith. The taste is pine, resin, alcohol warmth, leather and citrus pith, with a long bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and syrupy mouth-feel. Nice stuff.

Bottle at home in London. Pours dark gold with a moderate, white foam head. Raw, piney hop aroma. Thick, sticky bitterness in the flavor, rich toast, faint caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly dry, sticky hop finish, with some raw intensity, grass and pine, toasty malts. Very good stuff.

22nd November 2011 Very hazy dark amber beer, good off white head. Light palate, a little dry, very mild carbonation. Piney hops with an undertone of citrussy orange. A little creamy malt underneath with mild caramel. Semi dry finish with a mild carbonated nip. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Nicely judged IPA, flavoursome and really easy drinking.
