In nearly 35 years of drinking, this by far and away one of the worst drinks I’ve ever come across. I joined this site to specifcally warn people of this noxious brew whose taste is a combination of earwax and grapefruit The pint I bought was in The Cross Keys, Covent Garden last night - I managed two mouthfuls before feeling uncontrollably sick which only a bad pint of Directors managed 30 years ago.

Bottle @Eurovision 2016 tasting. Wonderful simple beer done just so well. Pours golden, white head lacing to the bottom of the glass. Nose is citrus, passion fruit, melon, slight pineapple. Taste is more of the same but with some lemon and some slight pine. I enjoyed this beer at the tasting and had a bottle to myself the next day, such a simple beer that is done so well. I could quaff loads of this.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Aroma of pineapple, peach, sponge cake and grass. Flavour of underripe pear, orange and apricot. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Weak in flavour and body but it goes down easily. I’d be interested to try this on cask.

Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Hazy orange-amber coloured, with a small frothy head. Has a higher fruitiness character, with orange citrus dominant in this respect.

Towey1989 (1519) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 31, 2016
Cask at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A clear golden colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of lemon, melon, some mango, a touch of pineapple, slight straw and subtle spicy hops. Taste of lemon, melon, mango, some peach, a little pineapple, subtle lime and slight grapefruit. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A dry, spicy, citrus hop bitterness in the finish. A big, citrusy, oily APA. More I drank, the citrusy it became. A good beer, what I expect from Brodie’s now.
