From cask at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malt. Breadish flavoured, roasted, light liourice and toffee. Dark breadish. Mild bitterness and slight acidic roasted touch coming through.

Cask at the Alma, Oktoberfest Beer Festival. Pours opaque brown with a dissapating, cream head. Holds a dark malt aroma with dark fruits, chocolate, and faint toffee. Lightly sweet, straightforward malt character, has some mild cococa and roastiness, followed by dry bitterness. Medium in body with fine carbonation and light warmth. Finishes roasty, while some malty sugars linger. Decent brew.

A Mes rate. Cask at the Olde Coffee House.
Slightly murky mahogany colour with a thin off white head. Fruity and sour on the nose. Sweet and fruity. Lightly sour. Some coffee and nuts. Nice and tangy on the palate. Who entered this? Surely it’s an old ale? Whatever, another Brodies beer I like. Not their best but still decent.
