William IV: Brodies Birthday Bash Sept 2011. Stale with sour notes. Some peanut butter flavour. Watery and disgusting. Big disappointment.

Brodies Birthday Fest at the King William. Opaque black beer, no real head. Semi dry palate. Light peanut nose! Tangy but mild dark malt that has a roasty edge. Riding over the top of this is mildly toasted peanuts. Dry finish. First couple of mouthfulls I thought this was going to be a shocker but it grew on me a lot! Points for the fearless experimentation as well.

Cask at William IV during Brodies Birthday Bash 2011. Pours red-brown with a white head. There’s a bit of peanut butter brittle on the nose, light roast. Flavor is s little odd, some vague peanut butter, chocolate, bitter char. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat bland finish. Not impressive. My search for the perfect peanut butter beer continues...

Cask handpull at William IV Birthday Bash 2011. Dark brown no real head. Yes choc and peanut aroma which is pretty decent. Does nit follow through in mouth. Bit watery in mouth. But of a flavour like Snickers. Finish is terrible. Ugh watery flat and possibly too hoppy.
