3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
September 14, 2014 - at Old Coffee House; handpull. Clear refractive pale gold with a smallish frothy off-white head. Aroma of heather, light honey, some lemon - simple, light, clean - pleasant (7+). Taste follows, but something pungent and vegetal is in there - like diced celery root with rhubarb and tomato leaf --- odd indeed. Average body, very astringent - weird long pungent vegetal/tart/bitter/dry finish - almost like some unripe cranberry. So odd.
