Cask at old coffee house. Perfect tonic to a busy treck across a hot London. Pale gold with good lacing. Sharp hop aroma and full on hop bitterness up front in the mouth. Kiwi, a little mineral, bitter lemon. Top stuff.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask conditioned handpump Old Coffee House London 22/07/13. A blonde beer with a white head and lace. Lots of galaxy tropical fruit hoppy flavours. Pale malts. Whispers of cow dung. The finish is really too bitter for me. Too extreme aftertaste. Needs toning down.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at the Old Coffee House, London. Pours clear gold with a small, bubbly white head. Interesting beer. Has a good, gritty hop bite with some grass, light pine, citrus rind, along with some minerally, flinty dryness. Low sweetness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry, gritty bitter finish, further notes of citrus rind, dirt, grass, very mild malt character. I can’t say this beer appears to be in top form. There are touches of that minerally, lightly smokey character you sometimes find in cask golden ales, which never seems to be a desired character. I’ll try to have this again sometime as I think this beer can do better - which isn’t to say it was all bad this time around, mind you.
