COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Occasional.
Galaxy Hops from Australia provide an extreme passion fruit aroma. One of the hoppiest we’ve ever made.

Cask at the King William IV Brew Pub on 2nd September 2011. Hazy gold with disappearing head and no lacing. Intensely grassy hop aromas. Liquid is grassy, herby and has fine grapefruit. Aftertaste continues to delight the palate with intense bitter hoppiness. Smooth to light mouthfeel. Lovely.

Cask, Ncl BF. The galaxy hops are very prominent on the nose, certainly one of my favourite hop aromas of recent times. The taste is very bitter, almost reminiscent of brickdust - which I think is the first time I’ve used that word in a beer description - and verging on astringent. Has a sharp palate, with trace mustiness.

Cask - King William IV, Leyton, London. Noted at 3.9. Poured a clear & bright light golden yellow colour with a fine, loose but lasting white head. Fresh & aromatic floral, citric hop aromas of passion fruit, mango & tangerine. This is cracking, especially at just 3.9%. Juicy initially on the tongue followed with a mouth drying grapefruit & pithy lemon bitterness. Something akin to standing in the pick ’n’ mix aisle came through in both aroma & flavour towards the end of the glass. Light to medium body, zippy mouthfeel - in really good condition - and an ever-so-lingering finish. Hugely drinkable, true session hop goodness. A perfect first drink thirst quencher on a warm March day.

Clear pale gold beer with a little white head. Smooth low carbonation palate. Nice fresh grapefruit - not too bitter. A little peach provides additional interest. Mild semi dry finish with mild bitter linger. Alright but could do with some condition.

(Cask at Cross Keys, Covent Garden, London, 27 Nov 2011) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, lemon peel, biscuits, passion fruit and lots of grapefruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, lemon peel, resin and a generous grapefruit bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Rather light body, fairly dry. Impressive hop character in this highly drinkable ale. Very nice.

Cask@King William IV, London. Pale golden colour with a minor head. Aroma is fruity, floral and quite much tropical fruityness as well as mild sweet herbal notes. Flavour is wellbalanced fruity and floral hops along with rather crisp maltyness and also some mild grassyness in the finish.

Cask at the brewpub. Hazy pale golden. Rich minty tangerine aroma. Mid dry with light body. Crisp and really hoppy with fresh tangerine hops and long, severe but inaggressive bitterness. Lovely!

Cask on my English stag at Nottingham BF, 15/10/11. Lush tropical aroma; mango, then strawberry, then blackcurrant. Deep, succulent, husky. Grapefruit finish. Oh yes.

Cask at Mason & Taylor. Blond coloured with small white head. Aroma is fruity, orange, mango and citrus hoppy. Feels maybe a bit thin, but taste is pleasantly bitter and nice and fruity too. Nice and refreshing afternoon drink.
