Cask at The Earl Grey Inn, Leek. A clear golden colour with q thin white head. Aroma of green hops, lemon, some melon, a little passion fruit, subtle toasted malts and herbal, grassy hops. Taste of lemon, melon, slight peach, a little passion fruit, subtle crackery malt and herbal, grassy hops. Light bodied and a slightly oily texture. A dryish, herbal, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Great hop character in this, subtle hop bitterness but well balanced. Pleasant.

Hand-pulled pint in Brodies ’King William 1V’ on 16 Feb 2013.
Light amber/old gold in colour with a thin white covering of bubbles.
Mildly citrus in the nose and flavour with a malty backbone.
I thought the body a bit watery and thin.
I’m not sure about Brodies beers: they don’t seem to ’hit the mark’ with me.

New to beer rating normally wine. Had at the excellent Southampton arms 8th feb 2013 so for me delicate nose. Taste :slow on the attack then light tangerine on the mid palate then Omg a tidal wave of grapefruit to a searing finish. Hold on tight. Awesome. Like a top Albariño ! Great work brodies as ever.

Som Broadies Stream på Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak 6 Nov 12. Klar lys gylden. Nesten ikke skum. God syrlig fruktaroma. Sitron. Appelsinskall. Smaken det samme. Frisk - men vel syrlig.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cask @ King William IV. The pour’s light gold with a tiny head. the nose is light lemon cake, sweet apricot, a hint of grain and white bread. The taste i more light lemon cake, icing, peach syrup and fresh spring meadow hoppiness. Simple, but wonderfully expressive flavors. Light, simple. Overall, wow, I could drink this by the litre. A fantastic beer.

I had this as Brodies Steam, 4.0 % abv, together with Finn from cask at Southampton Arms. Clear golden body, naked at the top. Citrus fruity hops to the nose. Well blended flavour of fruity hops and honey sweetness. Smooth bitter, semi-dry tail . Ok (London, 06.11.2012).
