Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, artificial berries, artificial sweet sweet berries, sweet berries. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet sweet exotic berries. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Nothing wrong just to sweet and maybe to artificial berries. [20110501]
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 28, 2012
Cask at the Brodies Bunny Basher Festival, King William IV, 1st May 2011. Clear golden yellow. Overly sweet fruity nose that still doesn’t prepare you for the horror of the flavour. Artificial saccharine flavour that would put a penny chew to shame. Burning finish! Horrendous.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Leighton (4094) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2011
Cask at Brodies BF. Pours goldish with a slight foam. Perfume and sweet berries in the nose. Sickly sweet flavor, very sugary with some blueberries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary finish, some bitter flowers, elderflower maybe, and sticky candy. Not THAT bad, but the heavy sweetness will certainly turn some folks off.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2011
Cask (handpump) at Brodies Bunny Basher Festival at King William IV, Leyton on 1 May 2011. Gold colour. Your enjoyment of this might depend on whether you have a sweet tooth. A very sweet tooth in fact. I don’t and didn’t. Sickly sweet. Not sure what the fruit is but it seemed rather artificial and confected. Not my bag at all.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 madmitch76 (6173) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2011
1st May 2011 At the brewpub in Leyton. Hazy gold amber beer, little white head. Neutral palate, perhaps slightly dry. Intense fruit salad sweets with added mango, guava and other tropical fruits. Remarkably sweet beer, initially I thought too much so (and I like a sweet beer) but it gradually won me over and I enjoyed it even the flavours were a little artificial.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2011
Cask handpull at William IV Leyton. While I was sat waiting to rate this beer I got a lot of burnt smoke from the bbq out the back of the pub and this odd fruit air freshner aroma. It was only when I drank the beer did I realise the fruit aroma came from the beer. Soits pretty pungent aromatically. Some strawberry some raspberry some passionfruit some mango and guava. But its all too sweet and artificial as an aroma. A bit like drinking fabric conditioner. Not a very good beer.
