Theydon_Bois (7935) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2013
Cask at the Old Coffee House, thanks to Jan for the pour, 18/01/13. Pale golden with a medium off white head that retains well. Nose is pale malts, citrus, lemon rind, slightly sour notes, light sulphuric tones. Taste comprises hops, light soap, citrus, lemon, pale malts, hint of pine. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some bitterness in the finish. This one was OK but not one I’d actively look for again.

snzcujo (282) - RUSSIA - NOV 9, 2012
Tasted on tap @King William IV, London, 09/11/2012. Pours of hazy straw color, with almost no head. (poured into casual glass) Even from that glass, aroma is quite pleasant, with lots of citrus fruits, pines, fresh grass and a hint of wheat. Mouthfeel is full-bodied, low-to-med carbonated and just super delicious. Taste is just packed with citrus, grapefruits, namely grapefruits not the zesty notes from hops. Then comes a wave of floral, grassy and piny notes. Aftertaste is outstanding, long lasting and unusually complex, not just usual hoppy bitterness. Amazing, very enjoyable beer. The Old Coffee house. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light crisp palate, slightly dry. Light lemon and lime peel. Tastes slightly brett and a little salt on the back of the tongue. Finishes dry and crisp, mild bitterness. Good stuff.

23rd July 2012
On tap at Craft and then a month later at the King William brewpub. Almost clear amber beer, tidy off white head. Smooth softish palate with a little fine carbonation. Semi sweet floral orange with a little malt cream. Sweet tangerine with mild peach and mango. Pink grapefruit and a little lemon - lime. Subtle brett and a trace of salt. Softish finish. A marvellous concoction of a beer. Every mouthful full of interest! Barely the same beer that was had at the Old Coffee House.
