Belle couleur brune.

Bottle from Douberd - many thanks, Christos! The beer pours out in a deep dark brown colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of malt and yeast. Taste of rich malt, dark grains, bread, yeast and flowers. Nutty finish. Nice and easy to drink.

Stubby bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip glass. ABV 7.5% Brown colour on the body, two fingers of beige froathy head with very low retention, leaving just some bubbles behind. Aroma of roasted malts with some chocolate notes and some dark fruits. Taste of dark fruits, some spices. Metallic notes both on flavour and on the aftertaste, saved by the light chocolate on the finish. Medium thin body, very carbonated. Overall not bad but nothing great either, easily forgetable.

330ml bottle somewhere in time and space. In short: a caramel sweet belgian dubbel Pours hazy copper with nice tan head. Some head retention and lacing. Caramel, sweet, raisins aromas.Medium body, some crispy texture, average carbonation. Taste is malty, sweet, caramel, bready. Average one, nothing remarkable.

Dark amber color, small tan head, good lacing / raisin, caramel, vanilla, prune aroma / Raisin, candy sugar, caramel, vanilla flavor, good malt backbone / light-medium body, low carbo for a Belgium beer, sweet, raisin candy watery finish / I like this kind of profile but too watery

4 coins at the Belgian Beer Weekend, roughly 800 yen, on tap. A tan head on a dark brown body. Mild malt aroman & a touch of figs. A nice zesty flavor with hints of caramel & lots of carbonation. A nice beer that was refreshing. Not boozy at all, as it warmed up more malts came through. Pretty good.
