2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Medium thicker but lively beige tan colored head which disappears quite slowly and leaves a vast and closed beige/tan lacing on top of a cloudy ruby colored beer.
Smell some dirty/nasty malts, fruit (apple and melon), yeast, barley malts and spices (orange peel and pepper).
Taste is better than the Jacob Tripel, still not interesting and this one is still on the weak side.
The mouthfeel is quite lively and spicy and causes the entire taste to vanish pretty quick. Just some notes of barley malts, caramel, light yeasty fruity hints of apple, raisin, some light toasted hay and some sharper herbs. A light to medium bitterness and there seems to be some kind of soda drink but than the light version, touch to this beer.
It leaves a short aftertaste of herbs, hay and some malt.
Medium to full carbo, lively tingly spicy mouthfeel, medium body and a texture between watery and creamy.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
75cl bottle. Pours a dark brown with thick tanned head. Nose : Roasted malts with a chocolate and little toffee notes. Strong aromas of yeast that feels like cheetos. Some dried fruits. Sip : Low density with oily texture. It has a tingling carbonation. Itís sweet and very mild overall taste. It develops just a bit bitter notes of coffee and hops in the background. The aftertaste is mellow bitter watery coffee. Overall : extra points for being my first beer today otherwise itís too mild and lacking some fun in drinking it. One think I adore about the Broeder Jacob beers itís the glass. Itís a wonderful tasting glass that has the capacity to hold the nose aromas even better then the tulip. Extra points there too.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle by 15/06/13. Nose is quite sweet and heavily cherried, with Belgian hops reminding me of HB. Bloody ruby body with a large but fizzy tan head. Thick minerally body, low bitterness with medium sweetness, lots of fruit way out front, mostly cherry but with some plum and orange; light roast with a surprisingly nice tar finish/end, some yeast slurry in the aftertaste but not much. Sticky caramel and brown sugar. Better than their tripel and really quite nice.

(Bottled) Clear, dark reddish brown with a small, fading head. Aroma of sweetish malt, dried fruit, and anise. Flavor is slightly sweet, dried-fruity, some berryish notes, anise. Medium body, slightly fizzy CO2. Not bad, just a bit bland and maybe slightly thin.
