’Broeder Jacob Double Espresso’ is a perect marriage, according brothers Johan Claes of Brewery Broeder Jacob and business man Wim Claes of coffee-roasting factory Java. This dark brown beer holds an alcohol percentage of 7,7%. The used coffee which will be mixed during the brewing, is made the Turkish way, before adding this to the process. The beer is available in bottles of 75 cl, but from next year it will be available in small bottles of 33 cl and kegs as well.

Tap @ Kafe Belgie. Black colour, tan head. Nose is coffee, espresso, roasted malts. Flavour is roasted malts, espresso coffee, wood, maybe bit of dark and dried fruits. Finish is dry and slightly bitter. Nice stuff.

Sweetish dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, mocha, yeasty overtones, a fruity touch. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, notes of coffee, mocha, cocoa; lively carbonation.

Bottle from Douberd - many thanks! The beer pours out in a deep black colour with steady löow head and medium to smooth body. Aroma pf malt and espresso. Taste of dark hops, malt, bread, berries, torf, woods and coffee. Very intense palate of espresso - what a nice surprise. Palatestays forever.
