3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Borresteijn (3647) - Amsterdam, - FEB 10, 2013Tap sample at In de Wildeman. Clear dark copper to brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of Christmas spices, brown sugar, candied fruits, amber malts, ground coffee. Flavour is likewise, with a nice coffee flavour and good bitterness. Light to medium-bodied. Decent Belgian Strong Ale, came across as a Belgian winter ale with coffee added. Nowhere near a stout as stated here on RB, that must be a mistake.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 zinneke (27) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 7, 2013
I was hoping for something that would actually taste like coffee.. very dissapointed in this one.. especially that i had been keeping it for over 6months. It’s a very clean beer, with a slight coffee aftertaste. The over-use of sugar makes this beer pretty lame for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Marko (3612) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 22, 2013
On tap at Fiere Margriet, Leuven. Porued a clear dark amber-brown body with an off white head. Fine malty, slightly spicey and fruity aroma with very light coffee. Umm.... I expected a huge coffee assault and it didn’t deliver, but there definitely is a certain presence. Nice, sweetish malty backbone. Bitter finish. Definitely pleasant stuff.
