Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy dark mahogany colour, small head. Deep raisiny malt aroma. Sweet and soft with full body. Gentle deep raisiny port flavour. Warming and relaxed, low bitterness. Near perfect winter beer.

Lekker zoet donker bier, lange afdronk, rijk smaakvol schuim. Je merkt niet dat hij 9% alcohol heeft.

sayravai (4674) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 22, 2014
(Bottled, BBE 30.5.2016) Deep reddish brown with a medium, beige, lacy and everlasting head. Mild aroma of dried fruit, light roastiness and notes of chocolate. Flavor is dried-raisiny-fruity and lightly licoricey with port clearly present, some sourness in Oerbier style, no roastiness. Quite full body, high and foamy CO2, silky-smooth. This one came totally unexpected - from Stockmann, Tallinn - not the most complex brew, but perfectly balanced dubbel. Even in August. 4247

MonsterMagnet (218) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 31, 2014
Bottle as Double Port. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head that quickly shrinks to a thin layer. Aroma: dark fruits, bread, brown sugar. Taste: blue grapes, plums, elderberries, raisins, chocolate, caramel, hints of nuts and wood. Sweet (in a ripe dark fruit way), silky smooth, full bodied with a long honey finish with a slight tannin bitterness. Yum!

Draught @ Akkurat. Pours black with a beige head. The aroma has got notes of christmas spices (gingerbread), dried fruits and port. The taste is sweet, with notes of raisin and marzipan. Smooth. Enjoyable and cozy beer, but the sweetness is almost too much in the long run.
