Brown 500ml bottle, best before 30 April 2008, drank on that day. Just another Polish Lager? I poured it into a stemmed Corsendonk Tulip glass (twice). A large white head sat on top of a mid golden coloured body, clean, clear and bright. I normally give lagers a 3 for smell, as I rarely find any aroma This one however had a farmyard, earthy smell, with some hops too, so it gets a higher score. Better flavour than most imported Eastern European lagers I’ve ventured to try. This one has a taste! Malty overtones and a trace of hops make this quiet pleasant. Not bad at all, the 6% alcohol (according to my bottle anyway) obviously helps of course, never-the-less, a good beer.

Koelschtrinker (7038) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2011
Süffiger, würziger Geruch, mild. Herber, recht bitter werdender Mittelteil, der recht langweilig wirkt. Der malzige Unterton kann dann doch noch punkten. Austauschbar. Test vom 1.10.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,7,8,8,7,7 - 7,10

Pours vibrant gold with a large fading head. Aroma is uber-grassy and skunked, but shows some sweet bready malt underneath. Flavours include the same bready malt before a boring bitterness follows through. And of course, it’s impossible to ignore those grassy hops. Carbonation should really be a lot higher.

Bottle. 5.7% ABV. Bright, clear golden body with a small, fizzy white head that vanished pretty quickly. Light aroma is grainy with hints of grassy hops. Flavour is malty with notes of citrus, cardboard and grass. Light body with ample carbonation and a short dry finish. Not a terrible beer overall but not particularly exciting either.

Bottle 500ml, green
Deep yellow to bright golden body colour, premium kind of beer, hoopy, grassy aroma and aftertaste not much carbonated on palate and visually, quite, white head, in the taste specific combination of aromatic hops and thin malts. Typical premium lager.

Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml. Pale gold with white head, carbonisation. Initially i was going to cast this down amongst all the other low rated Eurofizz beers I’ve tried, but it grew on me, I gradually got a simple but light biscuity malt, then a lemony, if slightly chemical, hop that pushed it above some of the others. Not great, but better than expected. This one was 5.7% ABV and I cannot for the life of me remember where I got it from, apologies if it was a gift.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2007 Good bold tasting beer, strong wheat and rice like tastes and aroma of apples and malt. All it,s flavours are strong, the fermentation was on the longer side.Bitter seems to break up the flavours,I enjoyed it a bit like Mythos but a lot better made. The head on it was medium to me then again I don,t like my beer to get cold, like them with a good head.lovely colour that beer ,some of them really are.Weihenstepaner Original Draught for one,Yarra Valley Gold another.Yes Brok Sambor is okay to me.
