Golden in color, hazy with a thin head. Green apple aroma and light flavor. This was a fruit beer that’s for sure, Not my style of beer by adding apple. A Freshman girls brew for sure.

[Tap] Part of a sampler at the brewpub in early September. Pours a milky looking yellow color with no head on top. Sweet aroma of hard cider, tart green apples and mild vanilla. Tastes like one part cider and one part light lager. Light body and mouthfeel. Lingering sweetness with mild cinnamon/spice notes. Drinkable and unique, but I can’t see myself enjoying too much of this.

6/19/2009: Hard Apple Ale is opaque with an apple/peach color and a foamy white head. The aroma is like cooked homemade applesauce with a whisp of alcohol. The flavor is an incredible marriage of good apple cider and beer. It is slightly sweet and slightly tart at the same time. It has a medium-light body to it. Overall this beer is thirst-quenching and refreshing. It would say that this is the best apple beer that I have had so far!
Draught (sample) at The Moose’s Tooth in Anchorage, Alaska. Rating #6 for this beer.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mabel (5043) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2008
[1679-20080906] Tap. Mild light apple or generic fruit aroma. Slightly hazy, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Sweet apple flavour throughout is initially a little kick then dulls. Light-medium body has a smooth appleness. Interesting brew has nice fruit characteristics.
Overheard: "It’s pretty simple but I liked it."

2008-09-06. Murky pastel yellow body with a small white head. Flavour is all apple. Sweet with a quick note of tart acidity. (6+) Mild aroma of sweet fruity apple. Average palate skews thin but suits it. Simple, quaffable. Far from spectacular but I rather enjoyed this. On tap at the brewpub.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jsquire (2957) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - JAN 22, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. This beer looks like murky apple cider with a thin white head. Apple dominates the nose, and pretty much everything else. The flavor is a natural apple cider, with some green apple, caramel, and some cinnimon. If you like apple beers, this is one.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DarkElf (2961) - La Jolla, California, USA - AUG 20, 2005
(Draft: Moose’s Tooth Brewing Company in Anchorage AK) Surprise, surprise, the flavor is very apply and fairly sweet, kind of like watered down apple juice. There’s a mild cinnamon flavor and it’s lightly tart. Light apple aroma is also fairly sweet, but isn’t very aromatic. Light bodied, but still a bit sticky from the sweetness. Dark straw color is slightly hazy, and there’s no head at all. Doesn’t really taste like beer at all, but I like apple juice, even it it does taste a bit watered down.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 aracauna (2855) - Georgia, USA - JUN 25, 2005
Now, if I didn’t have the brewery’s description next to me, I would have listed this as a cider on the site, because that’s what it smells and tastes like. This must be to cider what braggot is to mead. Big apple aroma, sweet, hard cider flavors. Good balance of sweet and tart from the fruit. Perhaps a little too sweet for more than a glass, though. No hops can be found nor could I pick up on much malt. Long, lingering flavors from the apples.
