They don’t call it black gold for nothing. This full bodied oatmeal stout is smooth and creamy. Even if you don’t consider yourself a dark beer drinker, be sure to ask for a taste. "Fuel for your next Alaskan adventure".

Deep brown. Mild coffee nose. Roasted malt start (a little cardboard?), mixing with a little bitter chocolate. Better as it warms. Thin for a stout.

Roasty-toasty stout with some nice and wholesome flavors. Lots of sweet tar and creamed espresso. Lesser notes of chocolate. Moderate bitterness as well, but the sticky, dark-roasted malts take the stage. Body seemed like it was on the thin side. Solid stout, nonetheless.
