COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
They don’t call it black gold for nothing. This full bodied oatmeal stout is smooth and creamy. Even if you don’t consider yourself a dark beer drinker, be sure to ask for a taste. "Fuel for your next Alaskan adventure".

[1685-20080906] Tap. Mild grainy roast malt aroma. Dark brown body with a medium-lasting creamy light tan head. Boozy roasted coffee malt flavour. Full body has noticeable alcohol. Big kick initially, nice stout.

2008-09-06. Pitch black body with a modest tan head. (4+) Mild roasty malt aroma. Flavour is fairly sweet, light roast malt is pervasive but surprisingly not assertive. Smooth average plus palate is light for a stout. (3+) Decent, but I preferred the porter I think. On tap at the brewpub.

The Moose’s Tooth Brewery serves the best pizza in town, along with some of the most amazing beer. Simply put - this is the best stout that I have ever had, anywhere.

12-ounce bottle. Huge medium-tan surging head, nitro-like. Modest toasty malt on the nose, but a nice rish combination of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and a bit of licorice. Very creamy mouthfeel. Would gladly drink again.

Black purple around the edges and opaque at the core. Weak aroma. Roast, slight chocolate. Bland compared to the porter.
