Gravity, Leicester 2011. Mahogany, beige rim, still and slippery condition. Burnt wood and blueberry aroma. TCP spurted on charcoal and brown M+Ms taste; getting some lovely maple and scorched oak barrel tones. Certainly more Heathcliff than Hareton- love the antiseptic and oak, which hints at a beer twice the strength. Lovely, complex, smoky stout.

Cask (gravity) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.

Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dusty, keller. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, earthy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110429]

Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Fest ’11. Dark brown with no head. This was a sweetish mild, perhaps a little fruity, but the main flavour seemed to be Kiwi boot polish strangely, it had a leathery, soapy note which was a little unpleasant.
