COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This deep amber, American-style pale ale is brewed with five different barley malts, generous additions of Cascade and Centennial hops, and a unique strain of yeast. The British, German and American malts used provide a complex blend of caramel, biscuit, and nutty malt flavors. The hops provide a gentle, pleasant bitterness with an intense floral and citrus aroma. It is dry-hopped, unfiltered and unpasteurized. We hope you enjoy this fresh, local beer. Brew details: OG 1.064. FG 1.016. ABV 6.3%. SRM 9.6. IBU 34.7.

Fra fad, på Spotted pig, New York. Ravgylden med off-white skumhat. Vekomponeret. Letkrydret humleprofil. Også lidt citrus og gran. Let maltsødme. Kiks. Lidt nødder. Tørstslukker.

Bue à la pression. Rondeur et douceur caractéristiques. Joliment maltée avec très peu de CO2.

Can. Clear amber with an off-white head that lasts pretty well. Aroma of grapefruit, biscuit, pine needles, some alcohol. Very sweet with caramel and biscuit, pine and citrus struggle through OK though. A bit soapy. Moderate bitterness in a brief finish. Nice hop aromas, but the thinnish texture combined with the sweetness makes for a dull palate. Still, OK.

From can. Darker amber in glass. Generous, off-white head. Looks appealing. Full aroma as well. Caramel, melon and some pine needles. Taste is more basic. Good malt backing, tending towards biscuit flavors. Mild bitterness from the hops. Just a hint a spice on the finish. Some unfortunate, lingering sweetness that doesn’t play nice with the other flavors. Overall, for the first beer I’ve tried from the Bronx, this is rather solid. Looking forward to future efforts from the Borough.

Love the can design. Evocative and tough looking. The pale pours a bright orange color. Leaves quite a bit of lacing on the glass. Herbaceous and piney in equal amounts. Good amount of bitterness. Really solid.

Can. Amber/ruby with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is dank and piney with caramel and bready malt. Taste is too sweet. Melted caramel with citrusy hops and toasted bread. Palate is a little syrupy. There are a lot of good things going on here but the taste is just a little unbalanced.

On tap at Café Un Deux Trois. Smell is straightforward pine, caramel, orange, grapefruit. Pretty nice. Taste is very malty for a pale ale: caramel and rye with some sort of slightly artificial fruitiness like peach gummis. Vaguely Belgian-tasting. Finish is long and sticky. Not bad but won’t return.
