This deep amber, American-style pale ale is brewed with five different barley malts, generous additions of Cascade and Centennial hops, and a unique strain of yeast. The British, German and American malts used provide a complex blend of caramel, biscuit, and nutty malt flavors. The hops provide a gentle, pleasant bitterness with an intense floral and citrus aroma. It is dry-hopped, unfiltered and unpasteurized. We hope you enjoy this fresh, local beer. Brew details: OG 1.064. FG 1.016. ABV 6.3%. SRM 9.6. IBU 34.7.

(can - 16 oz) Copper pour with a fluffy white head. Malty but very hoppy aroma. Some light caramel and grass notes under it. Flavor is hoppy and bitter at the start with a smooth and very lightly sweet caramel and biscuit malt note. Bitter and lingering aftertaste.

473 ml can from Dan Murphy's. Rating from 09/05/14. Very enjoyable with a deep honey amber colour and a mouthful of flavour.

16oz can pours a clear, burnt ornage with some foamy, lasting white head. Nose has some sweet caramel, orange, malt, some soap, a little nutty. Flavor is sweet, lightly bitter, a little orange, some soap, malt, a little honey comb. Clean finish. A bit sweeter than other APAs, but still nice.

Picked up a can while visiting NYC. Pours red/amber with a thin beige head. Nose is malt, bread, hops; flavor is spicy malt, cocoa, bread, sweet malt. Crisp finish. Decent but nothing unique.

Man what a surprise this one was! I’m always on the look out for a reasonably priced APA, proper APA that is. Poured a light amber, leaning toward reddish with a good head, not to much and smaller bubbles than most pale ale’s we get here, more like that of the American ones, which I like. Not a lot of hops on the nose, enough to recognise the cascade and let you know there was probably a bit of dry hopping at some stage, I like the smell of the English malts though, just a personal preference of mine. The malt is mostly caramel and a bit of toffee with a late, fairly smooth bitterness. The hops are there, I would have liked more but the balance of English malts and classic American hops is quite pleasant. I bought this from the local Dan Murphy’s on the Gold Coast for 65 bucks a carton with 473 ml cans! Thats good value if you do the math, I worked it out to around 45 bucks a carton if you compare it to the local 330 ml bottles. Thats pretty good value for the closest thing to Epic Pale I can get here! The ABV is a bit high but suits this beer well, the only issue is I can’t take more than one with me and still drive home. I’m not sure if this is a different version but the specs on the can (I like a lot) are different from this site, SRM 20, IBU 50 on the can. This is a solid beer for what is available here, and good value to boot! Unfortunately when I asked if this will be a regular beer at Dan Murphy’s the girls said no as it has not been selling very well.... Bummer!

Dark amber/orange red, nearly. Head lingers. Sweet, caramel malt, and could do with more hops. Sweet under hopped version of APA. Still good and would probably buy again.

Can to snifter. Pours with a very large, off white head. A slightly hazy dark red color. Aroma is full of caramel malt, toffee, and honey. Behind all the malt is some hop aroma, but very little. Taste is also very sweet, but then quickly transitions to reveal some hop bitterness. hop flavor is medium to low and just a non descript grassiness. Finished kind of sweet. Overall, a touch sweet and under hopped for my liking.

Beer in a can! What's more, the can has all the brewing specs on it. Pours a sensational deep amber with long lasting white head. Aroma is pleasantly sweet with hoppy hints. Flavour beats the aroma. Sufficiently sweet malt backbone melds with two very well matched APA hops. Good APA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fra fad, på Spotted pig, New York. Ravgylden med off-white skumhat. Vekomponeret. Letkrydret humleprofil. Også lidt citrus og gran. Let maltsødme. Kiks. Lidt nødder. Tørstslukker.
