Polypin at Oxford Beer Festival 12-10-07 Lovely fruity nose some oak also? Taste was great some brandy or calvados flavours were definately present, really dry liked this. Abv stated 8%?

A Sim rate (cask at the Southampton): Very sweet apple aroma. It’s on the verge of being sickly sweet but instead it’s quite pleasant. Flavour is again sweet. Slightly dry in that mouth-smacking kind of way, but only in the aftertaste. It’s good, but I’m surprised the pump clip states "extra dry".

Bag in bon, Blackfriers. Aroma is a mix of under ripe green apples, cider vinigar and some woody, almost lactic acidy notes. Taste is again woody, green apples hints at spice and dry throughout, alcohol well hidden and very drinkable.

[Bottle from CiderStore.com] Great fruity aroma, ripe apples, earthy, musty house character, slightly herbaceous (thyme?) some acidity. Drinkable and very dry, excellent.
