We love all kinds of farmhouse ales. But the original farmhouse ales weren’t big beers - they were beers you could drink while working in the hot sun all day. Our 1/2 ale reaches back to that tradition - it’s a dry, hoppy, citrusy, and delicious saison all at 3.4% Alc. By Vol. In fact, you CAN have everything.

Nose is relatively nice, lemongrass or grassy/straw, honey/lemon/thyme . No farmyard funk to speak of, though. The middle is a bit confused – and, frankly, like lavender-y soap. Don’t know if I need to get more used to Sorachi Ace brews, but I found this pretty confused. Not a saison I’ll try again.

Draft from backlog notes. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have yeasty bread, citrus, grass, herbal notes, hints of rye, dry, light funk, for a lower abv beer this had decent flavor, but not something I would revisit.

330ml bottle from K-Citymarket Sello. Pours light yellowish with a small head. Aroma of earthy notes, hay, sweet lemongrass and hints of vegetables, bubble gum and dill. Taste is sweet, earthy and lemony with hints of vegetables, bubblegum, dill, grass and hay. Finish is spicy and earthy with hints of sweetness. A bit strange.

Bottle 355ml, a cloudy golden beer with low head. Nose is green vegetable, aroma is on fruit such as lichee, green lemon, zest and mandarine skin, melon, dry grapefruit, astringent green fruit. Not that watery for the alcohol level.

Had this one several times before, but never rated it. Hazy yellow, look bit like ginger beer. Aroma is citrus, hops and yeast. Taste is refreshing and this beer is smooth and taste for being a 3.4% ABV. Rather good stuff for a summer afternoon or together with a light lunch.

35cl Bottle from Deen. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of Sorachi Ace, coconut, oak, bubblegum, citrus, light soapy, light malty. Flavour is light to medium sweet, dry, citrusy, oak, coconut, light spicy, dry bitter finish. Light bodied. Tasty, love the SA hops in these kind of beers.

Surprisingly aromatic Ale with a great thick texture. Hard to believe it only has an alcohol percentage of 3,4%

From notes: Bottle from S-Market. Pours clear yellowish colour with some head. Flavor is citrusy and hoppy, tastes fresh. Can taste the Sorachi hops. Gets watery pretty fast. Suprsingly good for the ABV.
