(Tap @ Brooklyn Brewery) Pours a hazy golden color with a nice white head. Light fruity aroma, with a nice blend of doughy malts and light hops. Fleeting hints of spice come and go, and are a little hard to pick out. Nothing too complex, but a very good basic example of the style. This is one beer I could drink on a regular basis.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2007 Tap at the Gate. Pale golden beer with a thin white head. Light spicy yeast nose with a touc of sulfur and apple/pear fruitiness over a crisp pilsner malt base. Very light bodied and crackery with a hint of acidity. Some light white grapes are suggested as well. Earthy bitterness on the back of the palate. Lingering fruit throughout. Quite a refreshing supper beer. Crisp and tasty with a fairly expressive yeast.

Tap at Barcade: Pours hazy yellow with a dense white head. Simple aroma. Mainly sweet crystal malt with hints of straw, light fruity esters (banana). Fairly creamy body, with grainy malt notes along with straw as well. Has a light citrus/lemon hint with a subtle bubblegum sweetness. The finish is somewhat clean. A straight forward Ale. Simple stuff.

Draught at the Gate. Light gold and slightly hazy with a faint JuicyFruit gum/banana yeast and lemony aroma. Refreshing lightly sweet flavor with bubblegum, citrus and white grape notes. Crisp finish. Similar I thought to a Saison, but more lemony and white-grapey than orangey and spicy, if that makes sense. Overall, a very nice summer offering. I really craved a second pint.
