UPDATED: JUL 28, 2007 Tap at the Gate. Pale golden beer with a thin white head. Light spicy yeast nose with a touc of sulfur and apple/pear fruitiness over a crisp pilsner malt base. Very light bodied and crackery with a hint of acidity. Some light white grapes are suggested as well. Earthy bitterness on the back of the palate. Lingering fruit throughout. Quite a refreshing supper beer. Crisp and tasty with a fairly expressive yeast.

Yeasty pale, a case where Saaz hops worked. Yeast and the hops in the aroma No lace, Active carbonation. Medium mouthfeel like a Golden except lighter. Blind taste would say this was brewed in Belgium. Good for the style.
On-tap at the Old toad.

Clear blonde body with a medium white head. Honeyed cereals swimming in a yeasty potion. Light fruity notes of banana and citrus fruits. Full chewy body. Light-medium hops presence with grassy notes. Simple basic blonde Belgian ale. Well put together but ultimately as memorable as a chain-restaurant linguine alfredo.
