COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Pennant Ale '55...Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale '55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to Brooklyn’s world champion baseball team.

Brooklyn Pennant Ale ’55 - 12 fl oz bottle. tantalising aroma. Pours light brown with a light head. Tastes toffee but not a full-bodied flavour. Promises more than it delivers.

On Tap: Pours a yellow-golden-orange with a smallish whitish head. Maybe it was served too cold, but it was lacking a little in flavor in my opinion.

On tap. Too sweet for me. Aromas of caramel and cola. Taste is sweet. Palate is oily, with a medium body. Amber, with no head.

Mostly clear amber/copper color with burnt orange highlights around the bottom. A slightly off white colored head that was not very prominent nor did it have much lacing or retention. Bread and biscuit notes. Some sweet smelling caramel malts. Some earthy, yeasty aromas. A bit of pine hints. Dry, biscuit type flavor. Caramel. Slight bit of a toasty flavor along with a small hop bite. Medium/thin mouthfeel. Smooth and mostly dry. Could have coated the palate better I thought, but it’s not too bad. Seems to be nicely refreshing also. This beer is alright. Nothing fancy, nothing special and nothing really bad. Could be an excellent Spring or Summer brew. Went down pretty easy.

Pours a clear copper producing a solid white head that goes away too quickly. The aroma mostly indicates caramel with a semi sweet butterscotch mustiness. Just a fair smell. The flavor is full of sweet caramel malts with a buttery and toasty profile. Mild hops at the end with a bit of piney herbalness. Medium body, not many bubbles. Taste like an ESB with its caramel dominance and English hops.

Dark orange-brown pour with small off-white head. Aroma is malty, some faint hops. Flavor is caramel/biscuit malt. Slightly soapy mouthfeel.

Toffee, light grainy notes, nuts in the nose. Appearance is fine, amber with a standard head and some lacing. Taste is sweet, caramel dominates. Not a lot going on here, but it serves the session beer purpose fine.

Bottle. Toffee, creamy amber beer. Round full flavor. Something is a bit off to me, somewhere in the malting.
