Pours an amber color with a small dense off-white head that fades to a thin film. It has nice lacing. It has a smooth malty aroma with some spicy hops. The body is medium and smooth. The flavor is well balanced and crisp. It has sweet toasted malt with biscuits and a hint of hops. Slight citrus flavor finishes the beer nicely.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Bottled Labeled Brooklyn Pennant Ale ’55 in honor of the dem bums finally winning one. Duke, Campy, Jackie and Gil are put to shame a little with this one - as it won’t be winning any pennants with this average effort. Amber with a large foamy white head gone as fast as the Dodgers in ’57 from Flatbush. Aroma of lemon, pale malt, cereal grains and mild hops. Light nose of sweet malt, lemon, pale malts, caramel. Kind of musty and carbonation feel is a bit too fizzy. Drinkable but only so-so. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Aroma is filled with hops, not too abundant. The appearance is a nice golden color with a decent head. The flavor is full of light fruit esters, and complex malts. It’s hops are ok, but not over the top. A bit of grass or skunk. It’s feel is ordinary, nothing over the top. It’s smooth, a nice session. KnutAlbert (3115), Oslo, Norway

Fruity, rich, lovely beer.
Prunes, peaches, yet enough bitterness to make this a nice little beer. Bu Brooklyn know their stuff, don’t they? DerBiermeister (510), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

If I am honest (and I am) I did not realize this beer was a pale ale, which is good, since I don’t prefer pale ales. It is malty and quality. Recommended to try on tap especially. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 10, 2008 Pours a deep golden amber color with a nice finger of white head. Aroma is citrusy and has some hop notes. Flavor is medium malt up front with a nice hop finish. Has just the right amount of bitterness to me. Body isn’t too thin, but not extremely thick or heavy and has a nice, balanced carbonation. A very refreshing beer with some body and bite to it. Another great offering from Brooklyn (they now have me hooked).
