COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Pennant Ale '55...Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale '55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to Brooklyn’s world champion baseball team.

An almost orange pour with light foamy head and lace. Aroma of caramel malt, apples, and a light/medium grassed hop aroma. Flavor was almost mediciny with a hint of apple. A nice finishing bitter. A tad too foamy for my liking.

Drank as Pennant Ale ’55. Thanks Vanessa. Dark brown body with tan head. Nose of caramel and malts. Prickly mouthfeel. Taste of malts and caramel. Some citrus in the finish. Enjoyable.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle marked Oct 2008-1431. The pour is an amber color and a little on the cloudy side with a small beige head. The aroma is mostly of malts and something zesty like orange peel. Also a little bready. The mouthfeel is pretty good; I would call it medium body. The flavor is also sweet and malty with a light hop finish. An enjoyable brew.

Pour was a nice orange-copper. Aroma wasnt too heavy, but had a light flutter of hops. Flavor was nice and balanced. Good hop backbone, but not overpowering. Mouthfeel was a little light.

Draft @ Monster B’s. Golden with a white head. I didn’t really get a distinct hops or malt flavor, but I felt like I was eating beer soaked sourdough bread. Not bad, thick among taste for a pale ale.

From a bottle poured brown with a good amount of head. Nice malty/hoppy flavor, with a lasting finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small frothy white head that leaves decent spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a light malt with raisin and caramel. The taste is a grain malt with a bit of citrus on the finish. Has more of an amber taste than an english pale ale but still decent from Brooklyn.
