Commercial Description:
Formerly known as Pennant Ale '55...Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale '55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to Brooklyn’s world champion baseball team.

Poured an amber color with a slight haze, decent head, retention was weak, lacing only slightly above average. The aroma was pine hops, fruity esters, light caramel. The flavor followed suit, caramel, light toffee, assertive bittering hops (clearly noble hops), light pine. The mouthfeel was rather light and thin and this thing had a watery grainy texture.

Amber pour, white head. Crisp buttery malts, with a toasted biscuit touch and some caramel malts, finished with some spicy hops. And an irony aftertaste to kill all of it.

A medium and ordinary ale from this highquality brewery. High drinkability and not so much challenge in this brew. Sweetmalted aroma and almost the same in the flavor. Let’s call it a sessionbeer!

(Bottle) Nice aroma with malty notes of caramel, toffee, cookies and a light fruityness. Notes of toasted bread and just a touch of hops. Malty, light fruity flavour with light bitter and sour notes. Light to medium dry with a pretty light body. Hints of toasted bread and maybe somting citrusy.

Poured a light reddish copper...small to medium white head. Fairly standard pale ale; some sweet malt and earthy elements.
