Commercial Description:
Formerly known as Pennant Ale '55...Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale '55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to Brooklyn’s world champion baseball team.

12oz brown bottle. Labelled as Pennant ale ’55. Bright orange colour, small tan head, creamy. Aroma is crackery, light malt. Flavour is toasty, biscuity malt, slightly fruity, trace caramel malt. Light hop notes, citrusy. Light bitterness in the finish. Body is light, medium carbonation.

Wheat, biscuit aroma. Flavor is biscuity with nice and smooth malts. Thick mouthfeel, and finishes smooth. Not very bitter hops, but I think the malts are the real show here. Its pretty thick for a 5%. Makes your stomach feel full, and its easy to make a session out of.

amber in color. Aroma: floral hops and caramel malts. Taste is sweet caramel, light citrus/floral hops, with a dose of sweet, and smooth caramel malt in the finish. not a bad EPA.

started it just a bit TPP cold, which robbed it of some elements. not too shabby, but not too thrilling. were it being served at a game I might change my opinion and say it was great by comparison to the mass mkt. beers. sometimes, most times I rate and leave rating lying around for a year or so. this one is being done as I drink and tus my feelings may fall this way or that, but doubt far from my feeling that I like it okay. and as it’s another beer brought back by my gf w/o me asking it tastes all the better

Pours clear amber with a tan head. The aroma has caramel, toffee and butterscotch - overall a fairly rich malt with light hop spice. Medium body with sharp fizzy carbonation. On the taste it starts immediately with carbonation filling the mouth with some sour caramel malt and some spice (or it could be the carbonation playing tricks on me). The finish is fairly astringent and has some spice. Not the best Brooklyn beer by a longshot. As the beer is warming both diacetyl and oxidation are both becoming apparent and this still has a long way before it’s best-by date.

BOTTLE (as Brooklyn Ale several months ago) Question; since Brooklyn Lager tastes like an Ale, does Brookyn Ale taste like a Lager? Answer; yes, a malty, bready kinda forgettable one. Least favorite BB product tasted so far. Buy Again = nah

Orange yellow color with a medium oof-white head. Aroma of wheat and slightly nutty. Tasted slightly burnt, good seasonal ale to drink while watching the fall classic. Lots of character.
