| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2006 Bottle. Copper color, off white frothy head, mostly diminishing. Aroma of caramel malt, kind of cakey, a little bit of spice and hops. Hops more prevalent in the flavor, which offset classic roasty malts. Bitter, even somewhat sour finish. Palate was too thin and watery. I thought this was ’da bomb’ years ago, blowing Bass away. Now it seems just fair, decent, OK, etc... FrankJohansen (3367), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark
