Brooklyn Ale

Jax Wine and Beer - Atlanta, Ga - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling medium copper with a thin, tight white head. Faint aroma - pick up some faint fruitiness, a touch of pepper. Flavor has decent underlying bitterness with a hint of caramel and citrus. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Not a bad change of pace.

Really nice beer. Surpised I haven’t seen this stuff before. Nice hops but milder than any american pale/ india pale ale I’ve had. The malts are really nice. If I’m not mistaken, these Maris Otter Malts are the same ones used in Rogues I2PA. Yummy.

Burnt orange with full foamy head. Fruit and cookie. Good overall mouthfeel: kind of full and a bit dry. Nicely hopped to bring balance to the sweetness of the malts. If this was available in Florida, it’d make a fantastic option as a session beer.

draught. copper-orange coloured body with a thin, small white head. aroma is of green hops, grainy malts, and cookies. sweet grainy flavour and unfortunately it’s quite watery and lacking in hop profile. clean finish.

Fruity aroma, nice hoppy/bitter flavour. A good many of these can be had without any ill effects at all ;-)

Bottle of the Pennant Ale ’55. Amber color with white head. Mild floral hop aroma. Light bodied with a touch malt flavorings and harsh hop finish. Kind of dissappointed in this one.

Bottled: Light amber coloured. Clear. Small beige head. Almond, caramel, herbs and hops. Flavour is sweet and hoppy. Light caramel. Light dusty. Medium bodied. Ends on a vague sweet note.

Bottle. Amber colour with a big tan head. Caramel, alamon, hoppy aroma and a light sweet fruity taste. Medium body and a light dry finish.
