shp555 (1677), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 18, 2005 Bottle, amber color slight floral aroma, slightly malty foretaste and a bitter after taste with a a very little bit of a metallic twang at the end. Something I would not buy again. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Aug 16, 2005 Bottle. Not much happeing, amber in colour, with some mild floral hop characters, some light toffee, sweetish and a bit flat, i thought the lager was better than this. Retorp (2154), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2005 Dainty aroma that smells clean and mildly malty. Tea colored with a thin white head. Herbal and bready flavor with a very mild bitterness. Clean tasting. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA Aug 13, 2005 Bottle marked: Pennant Ale ’55. Pours a rich/red brown. Aroma was kinda yeasty. Nice flavor, not that bitter. A not overwhelming metallic aftertaste is present. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Aug 12, 2005 Regardless of the name & commercial description, my bottle’s label reads Pennant Ale ’55. It pours a bright copper color with a rapidly collapsing, creamy white head. The aroma is a soft caramel with very mild fresh apple and a light herbal hopping. Medium-bodied, the caramel continues into the flavor, abandoned by the fruit but joined by nuts and supplemented with more herbal hop bitterness. It finishes on a slightly sweet, somewhat tinny note.

darkcarrington (31), USA Aug 11, 2005 Definite caramel flavor here. Good copper color too. I kind of like this one. Not my favorite pale ale but then again there really isn’t anything wrong with it. IF only I were a dodgers fan... Dixen (1465), Flagstaff, Arizona, USA Aug 9, 2005 Light malty flavor, notes of cabbage, some caramel. Copper colored beer, small white head. Light malty flavor, slight acidic note. PBOYNY (316), Westchester, New York, USA Aug 5, 2005 Mellow, lightly hopped, carmel complex, rather dry for a pale, not bad, but nothing special.
