Commercial Description:
Formerly known as Pennant Ale '55...Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale '55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to Brooklyn’s world champion baseball team.

nice brew, good varied and vibrant hop character. piney or resiny with a nice malt backing. the citrus hop infusion weaves in and out. not too intense. refreshing crisp and finishes long and slightly bitter. i consider this a classic. it is moderate in consistancy and well carbonated with small bubbles.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber, clear body with small white head. The aroma is malt and hop. Taste is hop and yeast. Decent beer.

Nice abmer body and a thin head on it. Leafy hop aroma with malt in toe. Flavor is smooth, quite oily at first, and ends with a good crisp feel to it.

cask conditioned at the Spotted Pig, NYC. great place for one of the best burgers in the city. I’m assuming this is also contracted by brooklyn, someone let me know if it isn’t. caramel gold color, foamy light tan head. aroma is honeyish. flavor is sweet but heavy malt. medium to light mouthfeel. slightly slick. clean finish.

Caramel and honey aroma. Clear dark copper pour with a medium light tan head and good lacing. Singularly and strongly metalllic flavor. Faint hop finish that gets better during warming.

Pours a gold/amber with a thin white head. Well balanced, and a decent amount of hops. Nice little bit of bitterness. Solid beer.

Nothing spectacular here. Rather a bland english style pale ale. The aroma is weak but that balances out the weak flavor.

In a dark bar it appears a nice amber brown. Mostly diminishing head. Fruity, citrusy aroma. Light bodied. A touch of hops in the finish. Light on flavor but well-balanced and refreshing.
