COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Pennant Ale '55...Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale '55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to Brooklyn’s world champion baseball team.

Nice amber color with about an inch of quickly dissolving head. Doughy aroma with a bitter but smooth flavor. Nothing special, but a good session beer.

12oz bottle. Pours a copper color with small tan colored head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet flavor with a touch of biscuit. Definitely malt-forward. Smooth finish. Pretty good.

Bottle from Glug Newcastle. Nice hefty biscuity flavour with a citrus aftertaste. Pretty classic, and another example of Brooklyn's versatility

Very enjoyable. English malts really make this one and I enjoy the hop of an America pale ale. Good. Not great.

Clear, copper in color with a small foamy head fading to just a ring around the edge. Little to no carbo’s. Nothing to write home as far as aroma: malts and hops with the hops having a slight lemony taste. Nothing special tatse wise, maybe a bit of biscuit. Dry Average beer. Last night I had a Samual Smith Old Brewery Pale Ale. That was a very good beer in my opinion. The reviewed beer doen’t match up very well. Drink well my friends

Tap at Lazy Dog. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin layer of off white head. Aroma is mostly malty with just a hint of citrus. Taste of biscuits malts with that hint of citrus popping up here too.

På tapp på Onkel Oscars i Namsos. Ravfarget med fint skum. Noe vannaktig i smaken. God tørsteslukker i varmen.

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and a little dry. Modest carbonation. Smooth dry malt. Whisper of overripe fruits. Touch of bitterness before the dry finish. Duller than dishwater!

Bottle. Clear amber beer with a large off white head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, biscuits, herbs, nuts and some citrus. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, biscuits, herbs, corn and nachos. Not very impressive, seems like an old bottle.

Pours a clear medium copper with a short head diminishing rapidly to nothing, no lacing. Nose is caramel and biscuity malt, very faint hops, yeast. Taste is similar. Medium body, with low persistent carbonation and a mildly bitter finish. A decent enough English Pale - nothing to distinguish it, but nothing offensive, either. I don’t regret trying it, but moving the remaining five out of my cellar might be a challenge.
