Labeled Pennant Ale ’55. It has a nice biscuit aroma and a smooth hop taste. It is very drinkable, and will drink again.

Bottle. Light copper with little head. Smells of grain. Mild flavor. Easy to drink but not super pleasant. Brooklyn does not win the pennant.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very tasty pale ale. Good bread and buttery toast notes with a mildly fruity hoppiness. Part of a mixed Brooklyn 12-pack.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at London Fields, as ’Brooklyn Pennant 8%’. I’m guessing that this is the same beer and they just got the ABV wrong. Hazy brown, still, decent off-white head. Aroma is metallic and yeasty. Body is medium, a touch of carbonation, slightly foamy in the mouth. Taste is liquorice malt, some metalllic notes. Very average.

From lescar, sheffield. Amber ale with a hardy white head. Aroma is grassy and nutty, taste is malty and dry very clean. Prickly and medium-light bodied. Refreshing pint.

Not bad. Love the label but the beer ain’t anything to get excited about.. Golden yellow, earthy spicy hops and light biscuit and caramel. Not too exciting but well made. Probably a one timer for me."

Look here, this is exactly what you would want from an easy drink’er: a medium malty backbone, with a nice crisp hop presence. Don’t over-think this one, it is a fine session beer. Serving: Multiple pours off draft.

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a golden orange color with a one finger white head that has a decent level of retention. Over a time of about 5 minutes the head fades to give a medium level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a sweet caramel smell. Mixed with this aroma is a sweet toffee and a biscuit and light herbal smell. Overall, sweet, but quite pleasant.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready taste with some lighter notes of caramel. The caramel flavor grows stronger as the taste advances further. As it moves on more there are other flavors of a herbal and citrus hop bitterness that subdue some of the sweeter notes well. In the end a balanced sweet/malty/bitter flavor is left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side with a carbonation level being just the same. Both are very good for the style and suit the flavors very well.
Overall – Quite nice and drinkable. A fantastically easy drinking brew with a good flavors.
