Amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel. Flavor is smooth and sweet with a little more caramel. Not an ideal after taste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had on tap in a pint glass.
Pours a slightly hazy dark copper with really no head to speak of and absolutely no lacing at all. Pretty poor all-around.
Aroma is caramel and toffee along with a touch of dark fruit. Maybe a little grass from the hops.
The flavor closely follows the smell. Very malt heavy with toffee and a bit of roast. Dark fruits are prominent as well. Medium bitterness with some hay and grass. Sticky finish is a little more than I was expecting.
Overall, Iím not very impressed with this one. There are some ice flavors buried in there but it is a little muddy overall and a bit too sticky.

What can you say about a beer that has no description? For starters, this is an ale from the Brooklyn Brewery. That alone makes it worthy of a trial.
The beer pours a copper color with a minimal white head. The aroma evolves over time from smoky to fruity. The taste has some fruity overtones with some bitterness in the aftertaste. It flows easily over the palate. This ale is an excellent accompaniment to a Chicago style pizza.

On tap at Westow House. Pours a clear gold with a thin head. Nothing in the aroma. Light body, fairly full carbonation. Caramel, a hint of indistinguishable fruit, slightly metallic. Not great.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reviewed from notes. Consumed November 25, 2012.
The appearance has a golden amber colored body that left a one finger white head that died within fifteen seconds. Lots of carbonation was seen rising.
The smell malty with some citrus and sweet pine.
The taste was the same adding a bit of caramel and light hops.
On the palate, its light and very drinkable. It was slightly harsh on the tongue due to the carbonation.
Overall, this is a decent English pale, perhaps a bit too carbonated, but mostly good.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance was hazy amber gold with off white creamy diminishing 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are soft spice and citrus, then the mild mineral biscuit toasty semi-sweet malts. Taste are toasty biscuit semi-sweet base wih light grapefruit hops, then slight fruity yeast at the end. Palate was soft creamy CO2 with medium body, then a lasting mineral toasty balanced finish. A good English Pale, try it.

Bottle into pint glass, looks like a month past "best by" date. Oops. Clear coppery-amber color with white head. Aroma of sweet biscuity malt, some caramel and light fruity yeast. Taste is the aroma adding some toast and light nuttiness. Light body, low carbonation, slightly sticky, soft with minimal sweet roast finish. This is certainly an English pale ale, a malty pale ale. Light and sessionable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Badged as Pennant Ale 55; rich amber colour, moderate white head; good fruitcake aroma; solid sweetish biscuity malt base; a delicious citrus flavour and some good balancing earthy hops; light mouthfeel, but nevertheless a very likeable pale ale.

Bottle @mother-in-laws (xmas) pours amber, low carbo almost flat. Sweet malts or the nose, with toffee and caramel on the palate, ever so slightly dry and hoppy on the finish. The smell is far better than the taste but it does have a nice long finish, this did get better the longer i had the bottle.
