Brooklyn American Ale is brewed exclusively for Finland. It has more crystal malt than Summer Ale and is more heavily dry-hopped. The dry-hopping in Summer Ale is all Amarillo, while Brooklyn American Ale has a blend of Amarillo and Cascade.

Copenhagen 28/5 2016. 33 cl can from S-Market in Helsinki. Blue, red and white can in Brooklyn Brewery’s usual design. Pours clear golden yellow with big white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Very moderate lacing. Aroma is weak but of exotic fruit with citric overtones. Some fermented fruit in there as well. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Taste has subdued sweetness and more dominant citric sourness. Kind of diluted and watery. Seems to be below standard compared to other beers from Brooklyn Brewery. Disappointing.

Can from wine warehouse. Pours golden with a decent off-white head. Light aroma: what's there is a hint of citrus, a hint of peach, and a hint of funk. Taste is tangy, slightly sour. Light citrus, hose water, sour funk. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Hurley’s Tavern (Charlottesville, VA). Peachy aromas, floral. Slightly hazy orange, effervescent, with a mostly lasting rocky white head. Fruity, grainy. Very light bodied, almost watered-down feeling.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2016 0,33 l pullo @ Sulo Kajaani. Kirkas kullankeltainen. Tuoksussa runsaasti hedelmäistä humalaa, mallasta, vähän sitrusta. Maussa pehmeää ja kevyttä humalan ja maltaan sekoitusta, leipää, vähän sitrusta ja ehkä persikkaa. Kelpo olut.

Clear golden color. Very gentle, pleasant aroma with some fruitiness, piney hops, bit of malt. Balanced flavor. No noticalbe acidity. Starts a bit fruity with some biscuit notes. Finishes clean and bitter and fades fast with some nuttiness and citrus-like hop notes. A very simple beer, but over pleasant and easy to drink. Light bodied. A good alternative to pilsner.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep golden body with a small white head. Nose is peaches, caramel, red berries and hints of bread, nuts and pine. Taste is bread, red berries, pine and hints of caramel and peaches. Light body, high, near-fizzy carbonation. A fair enough thirst-quencher, but not exactly thrilling.

Aroma of grain, mostly corn. Golden color, with a thin white head that’s gone fast. Sweet grain up front. Not much else. Corn. Bitterness is mellow. Watery mouth feel. Meh.
