Brooklyn American Ale is brewed exclusively for Finland. It has more crystal malt than Summer Ale and is more heavily dry-hopped. The dry-hopping in Summer Ale is all Amarillo, while Brooklyn American Ale has a blend of Amarillo and Cascade.

It’s winter at the moment but drinking American ale in winter is not good idea it seems very plae almost tasteless. If I would try it in summer to refresh myself or after sauna would be my favorite. Not this time. Long lasting foam was great, but thats it. Was hoping to feel some of thos citra and amarillo, but very far far away.

Bottle @ De Tolly Joogipood. Pours hazy amber with white head. Aroma of amarillo hops, sweet, caramel, malty, rotten fruits. Taste is light bitter, amarillo hops, caramel, malty. Not so good.

Bottle from a local shop (€ 1.96 - damn overpriced). BB June 2015. Slightly hazy amber colour; head white and brief. Nose caramelly and herbal (Amarillo and Cascade, really?!?), kind of like rhubarb custard (kissell). Taste caramel and pale malts with autumn fruit sweetness and some dank pilsnery biterness to follow. Body light to medium, palate near watery, carbonation quite lively, finish malty and herbal with faint bitterness. The caramelly sweetness does not make it an easy drinker in my opinion - there’s a certain heaviness to it despite the watery palate and light body. Among the weaker APA-s I’ve had.

A very light head, clear amber colour. Has a somewhat watery taste of hops, with a hint of caramel after the initial taste. Ok beer, but nothing too special.

Really nice hoppy smell. The bad grade is based on mediocre foam and too light taste. After the smell I was going for more
