Brooklyn American Ale is brewed exclusively for Finland. It has more crystal malt than Summer Ale and is more heavily dry-hopped. The dry-hopping in Summer Ale is all Amarillo, while Brooklyn American Ale has a blend of Amarillo and Cascade.

It’s winter at the moment but drinking American ale in winter is not good idea it seems very plae almost tasteless. If I would try it in summer to refresh myself or after sauna would be my favorite. Not this time. Long lasting foam was great, but thats it. Was hoping to feel some of thos citra and amarillo, but very far far away.

[2015-12-19] Oranssinkeltainen, kirkas, hiekko vaahto. Tuoksu on mieto, maltainen, hieman katkera.

Can from Sainsburys, drunk at home. Dark gold with an ephemeral off-white head. Pleasant floral hop aroma with some gentle apricot. Sweetish taste with nectarine bittersweet in the finish. Very slight body. A very safe beer, enjoyable but very unlikely to set your heart alight.

Can from Sainsburys. Pours amber with medium carbonation, good lacing and clean white head. Aroma is pretty weak. Some caramel, pine, orange and straw. Taste is thin, a little sweet, a little bitter and a little bland. Drinkable enough but under hopped and pretty dull. Their lager has more flavour which is saying something.

355ml can from Sainsbury. Pours a slightly hazy gold with no head and minimal fizz. Not very good but pleasant enough. Light sweet and light bitter. Not much going on aroma wise but a little pine and caramel.

Draft at Whole Foods PM. Poured clear straw colored with splotchy, off-white head. Nose was pale malt, citric hops. Tasted smooth, with predominant pale malt and hops, mild dryness in the finish. Not bad, not elite.

Poured a yellow-gold with white head. Aroma of malt, hop, wheat and citrus. Pale and crisp flavor and a body of fairly quick passing hop/wheat notes. Not much to describe. Simple.

Really limp and bland; one-notey dried ‘mixed peel’ with v faint fruit, weak water-y body. More lager than ale. Not worth bothering your liver for. I didn’t finish it. Strictly for ‘American Idiots’ only.
