Cask at Blind Tiger Ale House. Golden color with a nice fluffy head. A very refreshing cask, a bit malty and citrusy. You taste some bitterness in the back of your mouth but didn’t really stand out.

Cask @ Churchkey. Copper pour with hardly any head. The nose is pear, apple, slightly acetic. Some caramel. The taste is lightly tart, apple fruit leather. Acidic red apple skin. Dull carbonation, sort of lifeless. Overall, not good.

On draft at George Keeley’s. A good English style mild bitter. It tastes very much like something you might have in a pub in the U.K.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On Cask at the brewery.
Pours an orange color with a small head and some lace.
The aroma is of wet malt and some nondescript fruit. A little butter is slightly off-putting but I kind of like the almost briny character that’s going on.
The flavor is mildly bitter and hoppy with some light marmalade and toasty malt. Some fruit character, specifically red apple is bright and pleasant.
As expected the beer has a very low carbonation, which isn’t bad but this does carry the beer as a little watery on the palate.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2011 Location: Cask at the Brewery, 10/22/11
Aroma: It has a faint nose of caramel sweetness and some light pine
Appearance: It pours a clear caramel color, small ring of cask style head
Flavor: Taste is balanced, lots of caramel sweetness, some earth/pine, light bitter
Palate: This one has a fairly smooth cask feel, a touch watery and light of body
Decent bitter, solid on cask, but nothing super special. I wanted it to be a little bit better then it actually was.
