This is the famous Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, our award-winning rendition of the Imperial Stout style once made exclusively for Catherine the Great. We use three mashes to brew each batch of this beer, achieving a luscious deep dark chocolate flavor through a blend of specialty roasted malts. We brew it every year for the winter season. It is delicious when newly bottled, but also ages beautifully for years.

This is a excellent 10% stout to go with chocolate. Almost a sweet stout in taste but twice the alcohol. Bite of chocolate, sip of beer, repeat. Yum!

Nice foam, medium bitter, nice body and palate, strong alcohol taste , goto to be paired with actual chocolate

12 fl oz bottle. Pours a virtual opaque black, small thick mocha head, and an oily look. Aromas of dark chocolate, black liquorice, and alcohol. Black liquorice was dominant, some caramel sweetness and warming alcohol throughout. Oily texture, low carbonation, and a long alcohol finish. Not a very subtle or complex beverage and this was with some aging. Iím going against the beer geek grain on this one.

Meritorious. Aroma is of dark roasted malts with dark chocolate. Taste is uniform with chocolate, brown sugar, faint burnt bits with a smooth finish that only stings a little. Overall, itís pretty much everything youíd want in an imperial stout without pushing any boundaries.
