4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle. Very dark toasted malt aroma with coffee and/or chocolate. Black color with a respectable tan head. Thin to medium body with coarsely creamy carbonation. Flavor is burnt malt, but sweet, with a light creosote note. Milk chocolate hides behind the burnt malt. The finish is smooth, fairly dry, with a creamy burnt flavor. In the end it’s burnt and lightly bitter. Never had an IS like this. Sweet chocolate comes forth more noticeably as time passes. The alcohol is totally hidden. Puts the craft in craft ale.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled: Is pitch black coloured. Almost no light gets through. Huge chocolate fluffy brown head with long lasting. Impressive. Full malty aroma. Loads of chocolate, sweetness, some fruityness and a small kiss of alcahol. Flavour is roasty. Hops is present and a malty sweetness. Some fruit charachters. Has a little alcahol bite, but the alcahol is very well hidden. Is fruity and ligth bitter in the aftertaste. This is a very good one. Thanks Raindog.

Bottled, 355ml at The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury. Black with light brown head. Black malts dominate early on, bitter and dry, chocolate powder, cocoa then a big slug of fruity alcohol. Quite heavy on the palate but well worth trying.
