This is the famous Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, our award-winning rendition of the Imperial Stout style once made exclusively for Catherine the Great. We use three mashes to brew each batch of this beer, achieving a luscious deep dark chocolate flavor through a blend of specialty roasted malts. We brew it every year for the winter season. It is delicious when newly bottled, but also ages beautifully for years.

Pours black with thin layer of tan foam. Decent lacing. Sweet aroma of chocolate and caramel with some roast and alcohol apparent. Sweetness first in taste of dark chocolate and then some roasty, burnt flavor, followed by brewed coffee. Alcohol adds a somewhat peppery character and is very apparent but not disagreeable. Semi full and somewhat sticky mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Nice stout. Flavors meld well together. Would buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted from a 12oz bottle. It poured an opaque brown with a frothy brown head and lacing that was fairly thick and streaky. Rich aromas of malt, chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Smooth tasting, roasted malt and semi-sweet chocolate taste. A solid chocolate stout.

Coco and something else I can't pick on the nose. Wow first taste! I'm speechless. Um soft carbonation, low to medium sweetness . It's got a big coffee hit. Can't even pick the 10 % -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

355ml bottle from Great Grog. Pours jet black, thin tan head. Aromas of liquorice, vegetal notes, light dark chocolate (if that makes sense). Taste brings some coffee roast, booze notes become a little harsher. Quite light body for the strength. Used to love this, but these days there are better strong stouts out there (although maybe not at the same price!).

Pours very dark with a deep tan head that is quite dense. Deep roasted malt aroma with hints of chocolate and burnt malts. Hop bouquet as expected was sutble. Definitely big roasted maltiness here. Hints of burnt malts, smoke, cofee and chocolate. Hops are less intrusive after a year but a nice bitter bit is present. A thick full bodied beer that is smooth with a good alcohol warming on finish. A fair amount of alcohol and the style in general would prevent me from having more then maybe two.

Väldigt mycket chocklad i både aromen och smaken, lite syrlighet träderfram i smaken.

Flaska bishop marina - riktigt jäkla mörk. Smakat som att dricka en chockadpudding. Doftar inte så mycket men smakar fantastiskt. Choklad och lite bränt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Potentissima e meravigliosa imperial stout.

Bottle 355 ml from supermarket in Zagreb. Pours black. Roasted malts and chocolate aroma. Malty chocolate flavor. Wasn’t too impressed. Wonder if the bottle was OK.
