COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barrel-aged in Woodford Reserve bottles. Brooklyn Black Ops does not exist. However, if it did exist, it would be a robust stout concocted by the Brooklyn brewing team under cover of secrecy and hidden from everyone else at the brewery. Supposedly, "Black Ops" was aged for four months in bourbon barrels, bottled flat, and re-fermented with Champagne yeast, creating big chocolate and coffee flavors with a rich underpinning of vanilla-like oak notes. They say it’s vanishingly rare. We have no idea what they’re talking about.

(Bottle). This elusive release was secured thanks to Keg_Juggler. Thick creamy tan head over black-brown body. Flavors of rich malts, chocolate and European yeasts. Bourbon and vanilla resonate in aftertaste. Smooth palate. ABV well hidden. An elite reserve from Brooklyn. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Well I had to travel halfway around the world to find this rare brew, completely stumbling across a 2012 vintage bottle of this by chance in Madrid, Spain. Although of course, for the record, this beer does not really exist. But if it did, I would be thoroughly impressed by it's complex vanilla, chocolate, and oaky aroma as it pours into a wine glass. The pitch black color likewise would impress me, while the quick receding champagne-like spritzy head would strike me as lame, though the yeast free taste would be appreciated. The theoretically rich and sophisticated vanilla flavor matched with a flavorful sweet chocolate and coffee taste would be quite enjoyable. A slightly oaky bourbon chocolate whiskey finish would accordingly strike me as unique and remarkably tasty. The smooth palate would be surprisingly pleasant, despite the appearance of carbonation. A sharp alcoholic finish would manage to be appetizing. An excellent beer that would be unlike anything else. The vanilla accent alone would be something worth appreciating. A well done brew that would be unlike anything else.

Luktar gott. Mycket mörk choklad och kaffe. Men nått som är lite funky. Smaken är bra men den är lite platt. Man känner bourbon fatet. För dyr dock. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Corked bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This jet-black coloured beer pours with a thin tan head. It has chocolate, liquorice and roasted flavours followed by a powerfully warming vanilla and oak finish which is creamy, smooth and very long-lasting. Too much alcohol and bourbon for me.

22-OCT-2014, bottle @Taphouse, Brooklyn Night. Black with lasting, creamy Brown head. Aroma is Bourbon. I mean there are som roasted stuff underneath but mostly Bourbon. Taste actually the same. That nice Vanilla Bourbon stuff:-) Alcoholic and sweet. One big beer. Full body and soft carbonation. A bit simple but very delicious.

Thanks Habocok for IP trade. Anno 2013.

Excellent barrel aged stout. Not too bourbon flavored and chocolately. Pours black in color with a tan head. Slight alcohol finish. Had at bottle and cans ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml Bottle at home from mchughs. Pours deep black with off white lasting head. Rum, raisin, chocolate, vanilla coffee nose. Flavour is light, disappointingly light. Coffee chocolate. Needs a bigger body but still pretty decent.
