Golden pour with ample head. For the high alcohol content this is unbelievably smooth and easy drinking. Not overly hoppy either. Solid beer!

Sample at the 2012 Cincinnati Brew-haha. Clear orange-amber color, minimal off-white head. Really nice tangy-sweet hoppy aroma, good light bitterness. Light crisp carbonation. Citrus, pineapple aroma. A pretty good and bright brew... But I couldn’t tell at the time whether this was an IPA or a Pale Ale. In retrospect, one one hand, that lends points to this beer for the level of drinkability for a suprisingly high level of alcohol, but on the other, it doesn’t really seem as assertive or obviously hoppy as I’m used to imperial IPAs being. It’s possible that at this point during the event, I was starting to get a bit intoxicated...

Keg at Brooklyn night at North Bar, Leeds. Small taster, but still enough to rate from. Pours a slightly cloudy orange-gold, with a small head. Aroma is hops, whacking you in the nose. Citrus, mostly, slightly floral and grassy. Malty hints too. Taste is pungent hops, resin, grapefruit, with a malty backbone. Fairly full body. Very respectable, hard to fault technically, but does nothing for me personally - not my thing.

Draft. Pour is clear/golden orange with a good off-white head. Aroma of citrus/floral hops, walnut skins, caramel. Taste is citrus, pine, resin, walnut skins. Very bitter/astringent. Palate is oily, average carbonation, astringent finish. I expected a better effort from Brooklyn.

Tasted in October 2011 from a corked and caged bottle that was brought to Nashville for a beer dinner. Pours cloudy yellow-orange with an average white head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is intense citrus hops with some resin, grapefruit, bread and cereal malt. The flavor is lightly sweet with the same resin and grapefruit hops, along with the cereal and bread. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long resin, citrus, and light malt finish.

Pours orange with a white head and hoppy aroma. Taste is very hoppy, sweet with taste of pine and grass with a nice bitter, malty finish. Flavorful, enjoyable double IPA from Brooklyn.

1/21/12. On tap. Cloudy orange pour with a nice head. Surprisingly wonderful citrus aroma with orange, tangerine, and dank hops. Nice flavor as well. Floral, citrusy, dank, and more. Quite tasty from a normally disappointing brewery!
