On tap. It poured a hazy almost yellow color. It aroma and flavor were very solid and on the citric end of the hop spectrum. Where as some IIPAs have serious malt profiles, I feel that this one was all about the hops, which I enjoyed.

Sampled at vt brewfest 2010. Pours a golden orange with a white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, orange and grapefruit. Flavor was smooth and silky with sticky pine, citrus zest, grapefruit and a bit of caramel with a dry and bitter finish.

On tap at the Distillery in Savannah, GA. Poured into a tulip a clear orange with a good white head, excellent retention. Aroma was of strong citrus and resin notes, some pine too. Nothing fancy. Good citrus hop flavors from front to back. Good bitterness in the finish, very clean. A damn good double but there are better ones out there.

On tap at Farmhouse in Burlington. Copper pour with a good sized white fluffy head. Aroma is incredibly dank, with heavy resin notes of pine sap and dirt mixing with a dark citrus character and a touch of caramel malt-- really nice aroma. Flavor drops off a bit, with less complexity; mostly citrus and evergreen, but not quite as sticky and bold as the nose. Palate holds good hop bitterness through to the finish. Good beer, but not in the upper echelons of the style.

Draft at Pinocchio’s into a tulip Poured a hazy gold with small pure white head which became a coating but lasted throughout. Lacing was spotty white. Nose was citrus, especially orange, grapefruit and pineapple, with pine and floral notes. Taste is citrus hops - mango, pineapple, orange, grapefruit - with some piney and grassy bitter end and aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium with light to medium carbonation. This was awesome. As soon as I think I know something about beer, something or someone proves I am an idiot. I didn’t think I liked ANY Brroklyn beers but I LOVED this. If you were like me, TRY THIS!

Ethereal (2355) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2010
On tap at the White Horse American Beer Festival, 4th July 2010. Slightly hazy bright amber with a hint of a head. Nose of orange peel with a hint of vanilla. Bitingly refreshing on the sip without being too bitter. Light golden syrup flavour to the malt combines wonderfully with great citrus flavours the hops are delivering. Divine. Spot-on weight, great condition. Very little hint of the strength. It’s like painting your mouth with sunshine. My beer of the festival.
