Had this at Mad Mex up against nother Imperial IPA. Cloudy dull golden color, with no head and modest lacing. Great hops of course but also a unique oily minty taste.

(Old BA rate - tap at the Brewery tasting room)
Pours a very cloudy coppery orange brown hue; poured with a half-finger of pure white head with good retention. Rich maltiness is a key feature of this brew, but not really all that sweet which was nice; dank piney hops that are not nearly as aggressive as ’west coast’ versions; really lovely aroma. The aroma very much reflect the taste; remarkable balance for a DIPA, but nicely hop-forward; solid malt backing that was a tad sweet at the end, but still a nice pine burn on the back of the palate. Medium to full MF; a little soft on the carbonation. Hugely drinkable for the style, not quite a hop bomb and the strong malts do not strangle the hops

On tap at Rose Alley Ale House in New Bedford. Pours a clear deep golden color. Aroma is of pine, floral, hops, and citrus. Flavor is of fresh hops, grapefruit, and pine. Leaves a nice and crisp hop finish. This is one refreshing brew on this super hot day.

Sampled at American Craft Beer Fest 2010. Pours a nice golden color. Aroma of citrusy hops. Full bodied and sort of thick texture. Hops dominate the flavor of this beer. A lingering finish. Definitely worth trying.

Draught. Orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet floral and pine. Flavor is sweet then bitter dry hoppyness. Bitter dry through finish. Good but not great! but I’d expect more from Brooklyn...booze is very well hidden.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Maddog (348) - Kettering, Ohio, USA - JUN 7, 2010
Draft at Spinoza’s in Beavercreek, OH. A decent double IPA. Not in the upper realm, however. The pour is clear light orange with aromas of fruit. The flavors that exist in this beer are fruit and malt with some hops in the flavor but not much in the end. In fact, the lack of finish in this beer causes it to fall in the rankings. Although there is a sizeable malt body, the finish is non existent.
