COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

Bottle at home from drinkstore. Pours cloudy amber with wispy white head. Spruce, pine, grass, peach. Big caramel sweet malt background with a grass, resinous finish. Low carbonation which lifts it away from treacle. Mild bitterness on finish with a peach aftertaste. Lovely IPA.

Ja, jag hade verkligen inga problem med denna. Kraftig i aromen, väldigt fruktig. Framhäver beskan och humlen tydligt, tjock fyllig kropp.

Draft @ Bocktown, PIT. Nice citrusy aroma. Beautiful medium amber color, with quickly dissipating white head. Nice citrusy hop flavor. Medium to full bodied. Overall, I pretty nice DIPA.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours clear, orange, nice white head and lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, floral notes and some malts. Taste is very well balanced, starts sweet with a bitter finish, it does have a strong alcohol undertone but over all is very enjoyable and drinkable. Very good beer.

355 ml bottle at Pipes of Scotland. Slightly hazy golden with white head. Aroma hoppy, fruit, mango, a bit pungent, light marmalade and sweet malt. Taste is mellow, fairly well balanced, fruity, caramel, marmalade with a lingering bitter finish.

Poured a clouded pale amber colour with a one-finger white foamy head that retained well but laced poorly. Carbonation high and fine. Aroma of pine, tropical fruits and citrus; alcohol quite well hidden. Taste similar to aroma but not as strong; slight sweetness underlies the hoppiness. Light to medium body. Finish with a lingering hoppy bitterness. Nice!
