Pours orange with a white head and hoppy aroma. Taste is very hoppy, sweet with taste of pine and grass with a nice bitter, malty finish. Flavorful, enjoyable double IPA from Brooklyn.

1/21/12. On tap. Cloudy orange pour with a nice head. Surprisingly wonderful citrus aroma with orange, tangerine, and dank hops. Nice flavor as well. Floral, citrusy, dank, and more. Quite tasty from a normally disappointing brewery!

Clear orange pour with a thin white head. Huge nectar fruits and orange citrus lead to bready dough grassy citrus peel, and hints of herbal hop. Medium body with prickling carbonation, leaving a dry resinous finish.

Very good double IPA. Pours a clear golden yellow, with little head. Very strong aroma of floral hops. Flavor is a nice sweetish combination of hop-citrus and bitter, piney flavor. Mouthfeel is quite pleasant and full. Good clear finish--no bitter aftertaste.

The nose is fantastic on this beer, though the taste does not quite live up...it’s still a fantastic ipa. The head disappears a little quick. The mouthfeel is what you would expect from a bold ipa. Taste includes notes of grapefruit with a hint of floral.

on draft poured an orangish color with white fluffy head that lingered. the lacing was ok thought it would be more considering the style of beer. the aroma of hops and citris and some pine. the flavor of grapefruit and other citrus type hops was dominate. very good flavor from this. havent had a good brooklyn beer in awhile..but this one rocked.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a clear golden to lightly orange hued body with a thick and lasting, fluffy white head. A darker hue than "The Companion" (a barley wine), which isn’t a good sign for me. Great lace though. Aromas are hoppy, spicy, pine, pineapple. Citrusy hops, canned pineapple, a touch catty. Caramel and alcohol. Flavors are sweet, bready, malty with what seems like a very mild butterscotchy/diacetyl character. Hop notes are herbal, grassy, and dank with medium fruit (mostly mango). Balanced overall. Alcohol is better hidden than on the nose. Lively bubbles with a medium body. Warming.

2011-12-03. Crisp dark orange amber body with a small beige head that fades. 3+ Lovely citrusy hops on first sips persist throughout, gaining a good amount of alcohol as well, not burning but noticeable. Sweet undercurrents, sweet orange notes. 7+ Aroma is a bit muted at first, the beer is a bit col, modest sweet citrus and light alcohol. Sweet orange, very mild orange seeds. Tropical fruit touches as it warms up. 7+ Smooth medium to full bodied palate is lightly carbonated. 3+ Pretty nice double IPA, nice citrus. Tap at Coles, Buffalo
