Very good on tap. Pours hazy golden colour and holds a foamy white head. Good strong aroma of pine and floral hops. Tastes a little sweet and not much bitter, a very smooth drink that hides the 9% alcohol content very well.

Location/Date: Draft at Brookyln Brewery, 10/22/11.

Appearance:Pours a copper orange.
Aroma: Aroma is of cirtus and hop.
Taste: Nice amount of hop bitterness.
Palate: Finish lingers on the tongue.

Summary: One of my favorite brooklyn brewery beers I’ve had, nice selection of hops.

Draft at Rattle with Andrew and Dubra. Pours an amber body with no head, some minor lacing. Aroma is fresh citrus and pine, a nice balance between the two top hop noses - neither one over dominated by the other. Mouthfeel is average, with similar notes of pine and citrus hops in the flavor. This is a really solid IIPA, nothing incredible, but a great beer nonetheless.

Nice golden color with a thin full head. Neither the hops nor citrus particularly stand out, a well balanced offering.

1st time I had this at the brewery ~2 years ago I would have given it a higher score probably. This last tasting from this summer on draft at Bruekelen Bier Merchents down the street from he brewery wasn’t quite as overwhelmingly awesome...though it was still damn good. Maybe it is just experience but I don’t think so. Anyway, Huge floral hop dimensions as well as pine resin and grapefruit. Medium body which is very sweet and plenty bitter with the later character of the nose. Astringent finish.

On Tap at Vine and Barley, Color is a amber hue with decent head retention. Im not getting a lot in the nose. There are some hop notes but not a lot. Taste is nice with a good amount grapefruit. I didn’t think this beer was still being brewed so I wonder how old it is because the hop profile seemed lighter than than when I had it a year ago.

On tap at Good Beer. Piney aroma. This is an astringent, resiny IPA, but it feels a bit thin. Pretty dry and woody, with a nice autumnal feel, making it appropriate for the beginning of autumn. It is hard to believe the ABV is over 8. This seems like a regular good IPA to me. If this is Mr. Oliver’s killer IPA, then I’m still not a convert.
