COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So we use earthy English hops to build the foundation and bright citrusy American hops to bring the noise in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! British Maris Otter and German Pilsner malts lends solidity, balance and bready flavors to brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. Minerally hop bitterness is followed by a shock wave of flavor and aroma. You won’t even know what hit you.

Malts: Scottish Floor-malted Maris Otter, German Pilsner Malt

Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300

Super good imperial. The English hops addition keeps it from being to overpowering like most American IIPA. Will have to try again when I have a clear nose. Color is light for the hop level, which leads me to believe it isn't going to linger on the palate. Smooth mouth feel with a semi-lasting finish. You just got a message from Hopdaddy!

Firkin Fest 2013. Hazy gold color and moderate carbonation. Great aroma of citrus hops, but it does not taste as good as it smells. Some lightly sweet malt and more mild hop flavor. Thin palate and a little watery.

Clear golden orange pour with medium sized white head. Aroma of hops, caramel, floral and fruity. Taste of grapefruit, toffee, pine needles and a hoppy sweet finish. Full bodied and medium carbonation.

12oz tulip glass on tap at the Underground Tap and Grill in Edmonton pours a golden orange color with a finger of white head that leaves some pretty nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is big on orange citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is an orange zesty bitterness with some tropical fruit sweetness on a good malty backbone. Medium bodied with good carbonation. A very well done brew and highly recommended.

Draft to goblet Aroma of tangerine, tangerine, tangerine, hops, pepper and tropical fruity. Slightly cloudy amber with a full white head that settles after a few minutes to a thin layer but with nice lacing. Taste is very fruity, a lot like guava, with muted hoppiness. Hops that are not overpowering, but pleasant.

Draft - Tons of tropical fruit, so pleasant and a nice contrast to the pine/grapefruit we normally see. Cloudy orange with a thick medium head. Citrus punch of the bat with more tropical fruit and a mild bitterness. Very deceptive flavour considering the high ABV. Dry finish with a hint of resin. Very different, but pretty good.

Nice!!!! Heavy hoppy aroma with a burgeoning smack of resin and big floral fruity notes. The pour is a mild orange hue with a finger of foamy white head. Sweet honey and caramel malts with a hint of malt character up front. Then full on hops and resinous hops with boozy warmth on the finish. Overall a big hopped up brew.
